About our founder and CEO
Niris Caba is a journalist, editor, corporate communications consultant, and professor specializing in pedagogy and university governance. In the field of communications, she holds a double master's degree in Corporate Communications Management, is currently pursuing a specialization in Modern Journalism, and has a bachelor's degree in Social Communication. She has nearly two decades of experience managing corporate communications in various types of institutions, as well as in print journalism and the publishing industry, where she has worked as an editor for lifestyle magazines and in the creation of specialized editorial products. Additionally, she has conducted studies on Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools for news production and data journalism.
In the academic field, she has over 15 years of teaching experience in higher education. She specializes in pedagogy and holds an International Master's degree in University Management. She has completed specialized studies in Educational Quality Assurance, Academic Literacy, and University Social Responsibility. As part of her academic work, she carried out a pedagogical project on reading and writing in academic disciplines and research on institutional communication at the university. She has conducted studies on citizen security in Latin America and has received training in Human Rights and Political Advocacy. She has experience working with vulnerable populations, especially migrants and children at risk, as well as in humanitarian crisis settings, from a human rights perspective.
She works as the executive director of the publishing and communications consulting firm EscribaNos (Escrib & OS), which she founded in 2017 in the Dominican Republic and in 2019 in the United States. Through the firm, she develops various initiatives in the fields of communications, publishing, and education. Two of her most recent projects are the creation of a thematic school academic planner on "Reading and its importance for intellectual development" and the launch of the digital version of ACADEMO, a media outlet specializing in the academic and university world, which she also created in 2017 and where she serves as editor.
